Pomegranate……………………………first thing comes in mind as red color round shape fruit which has red seeds inside which are very tasty and healthy.
Generally, we drink pomegranate juice due to health concerns or sometimes when we unfortunately have illness. Pomegranate fruits are the first choice for health, from the ancient times because it has more than 100 phytochemicals.

Pomegranates are rich in nutrients: Pomegranate is a red fruit of punica granatum.
Punica granatum is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree in the family Lythraceae that grows between 5 and 10 m. It is categorized as a berry; Pomegranate fruit is about 5-12 cm (2-5 inches) in diameter. It is red round shape fruit.

Punicalogins: pomegranate juice and its peel contain punicalogins which are good source of potent antioxidants. These punicalogins has 3 times higher antioxidant activity of red wine and green tea.
Punicic acid: pomegranate seed oil has punicic acid which is a conjugated linoleic acid. It is a polyunsaturated fatty acid with potent biological effects. This punicic acid is also found in snake gourd seed oils.
